Mike, I'm sure it's from captive matings. Though anything is possible with unknowns such as does lugubris retain sperm and if so, how long? The male did become very aggressive this winter while with her, attacking another female that didn't ovulate. I noticed that if I separated the male from this female he would not attack other cage mates.

I noticed last week while checking that there were three good eggs on the floor so I decided to remove them today. Dang if she hadn't eaten them! Having lost my trust I decided to remove the rest of her clutch. Here it is at ~50 days.
