Hi there, I'm getting my 20 gallon tank set up prior to bringing home an axolotl. I purchased a tank that came with a bubble wall and I was told that the filter that came with the tank is not strong enough and that I should invest in a sponge filter (40 gallon) as well. My question is, would having a sponge filter and bubble wall add too much oxygen to the water? Is that even a concern? I'm in the processes of cycling the tank now. Thank you

The maximum oxygen concentration in water is determined by temperature.
So you'll never be able to add too much oxygen to the water.

That said, some axolotls could be disturbed by the noise of the bubbler
