Question: Bubbles on top of water

Hello all! My baby axie has been really active lately and I noticed that there are a lot of bubbles coating the top of its water. Is this normal or could there be a problem? And he is floating a lot. I have been adding water to his tank slowly since he is just a baby so maybe he is just enjoying all the space he has now? Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

Have you tested the water parameters for ammonia, nitrAte, nitrite and PH?

If so what are the readings?

My water gets a bit bubbley or oily sometimes too. I skim it off with a cup. Also I added a sponge filter in addition to my hob to help aerate the surface and that helped a lot. Also upped water changes.
