Budgett Frogs wake up

Just woke up my budgett Lepidobatrachus frogs from aestivation yesterday after a week of increasing humidity... they have been in a box of peat for almost 4 1/2 months to simulate a dry season and as of yesterday they are having hourly rainstorms via a powerhead and watering can rose.

Hope this encourages them to spawn this year as last year they went into amplexus several times but no spawn... fingers crossed...

well, as of last night they are now in amplexus... I kept them seperate for 2 weeks while i stuffed them full of food and they got rained on everyday with a CD playing frog cals similar to the male's through the night, he did call most nights...

anyway, here is a pic of the pretty couple....

i got them this far last year so hopefully this year i have doen things a bit better and get them to spawn!!!
