Can anybody id me?

My daughter found this cute little fella in our backyard and I was wondering if anybody could tell me what type of salamander it is. I live on Vancouver Island, if that helps. Don't worry, we won't be keeping it. I just wanted to get some pictures so we could hopefully i.d. it.

Hi! I'm not positive, but I think this is a clouded salamander ( aneides ferreus cope). They are found on Vancouver Island. I live in Kingston, WA., so I have been interested in learning about the local fauna. They are cute!

I think it's Aneides vagrans (Wandering salamander) that's found on Vancouver. I have a few from northern CA, great animals.

I also thought that the former Aneides fereus from Vancouver Islands is currently been redescribed as being A. vagrans (same species form California). I have seen both , be it that with A. vagrans we only saw one juvenile. We found the vagrans at the foot from a tree, A. ferreus was found in the vincinity/between of stones

Yep, it's official: all Aneides on Vancouver Island are A. vagrans.
