Can axolotls live within co2 planted tank

I have planted tanks running co2. Can I put my axis in there? How well do they handle co2?

because most of the plants that grow in axolotl tanks are hardy low light, low temperature, low fertiliser plants there isn't normally the need for additional co2 above what the axolotl produces.
with the additional risk of accidental co2 over dosing it isn't worth the risk.
