Hello everyone

I went to purchase a new tank mate yesterday, but the woman told me that my axi would be better off alone as he's been like this for a year now. I was wondering if this is true, since I want to house two, maybe three if possible. I want your opinions on this, can I introduce a male tank member to an already male inhabitant?
 Have I bought a 6ft tank for nothing? :(

It shouldn't be a problem is the new ones are quarantined in a separate enclosure first. And if you want, after quarantine, you can put a divider between the two axies so they get used to eachother w/o making physical contact

Quarantine the new one. Once your sure its healthy put it in the new tank, I doubt axolotls have the brain power to suffer any psychological effects of isolation nor are they territorial. As long as they are of a similar size they should be OK, just observe them for a bit on introduction.
