Can of crickets

At my local pet store today i noticed a product called 'Can O' Crickets' they also had 'Can O' Worms.' I didnt get a chance to look at the label, but i presume they're a dried food. Are these suitable to feed my axie?

They're not dried, they're moist. Wouldn't the chitin in crickets be a little hard for axo's to digest though? I know the "Can O' Worms" will be, considering they are mealworms

Take a look at the thread "The Best Food For Axies" for food ideas. Crickets are one of the most suggested food for axies. What brand are the canned worms? Some of them are really good, others are really poor. Zoomed makes one of the better ones. Lots of variety too. They have canned crickets, worms, mealworms, and snails (the blue tongued skinks at the pet store I used to work at LOVED the snails).

I'm pretty sure the brand is Zoo Med. I'll pick up some of the crickets next time i'm at the pet store and see how Sam likes them.

I got some yesterday and fed Sam one yesterday afternoon. I think i'll have to cut them in half to feed to him in future though because he seemed to have a hard time swallowing it. I think he liked it though.

Do they like the crickets dead and canned just as well as they like live ones?

I've never fed my axy live crickets, so i can't really say, but i would imagine live would be more appealing because they move, but then again i've noticed the canned crickets have a stronger aroma than live crickets, so that might be more appealing.
