Hey! I finally have a tank for both my axolotls to go in while their bigger tank re-cycles. I got two 10 gallon tanks for them both. I am wondering will catappa be helpful to my axolotls big tank or small 10 gallon tanks? How does it work with it and do you guys use it only for medicine or both. I know it does the water with a tea hue though does anyone use it regularly? For just their tank set up? Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. Just wondering if it's good for the axolotl and substrate!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
