I'm not sure where to put this but...
I would love to find some cool etchings, engravings, or scientific illustrations of larval newts/frogs/etc. Anyone know of any resources? Not to purchase, just to look at. Internet or otherwise. I've already done the generic google search but haven't checked the library yet. Figured some of you may be able to point me in the right direction.

I'm a scientific illustrator but don't have much as far as larval animals. Try looking at the work of Robert C Stebbins. He's the best... his book is peterson's "guide to western reptiles and amphibians"
 
I think that this is interesting, Scholze & Pötzschke's catalog from 1930.

The link is from a swedish petstore called "Akvarielagret" and all text on this site is in swedish (the catalog itself is in german). But in the menu to the left you should click on the links under "GRODDJUR" which means amphibians.

Some "old-school" illustrations and photos portraying Axolotls and Ambystoma opacum among others.

This is a really cool find Tindalos! You can find salamanders by using the left browser under the bold section [FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]GRODDJUR: [/FONT][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]the titles salamander. It is intersting to me to note the section on terariums. Very cool to see the ancestry of our hoby and study.
