My cf kweichows have been in winter cooling since November 5th. I have noticed all of the newts tails get thinner and taller (possibly because of the change to aquatic) And the males cloaca's start to swell. Are these signs of preparing for the aquatic stage? Also, how much longer should i keep them in the winter stage? Finally when aquatic stage starts, what size of tank should be for four adults? How many eggs can one female lay? Please help me with my first breeding attempt.

I looked through the articles and didn't get anything out of the kweichow sections. I got some things out of the verrucosus section. Not all my questions were answered. How much longer for the simulation and tank size.

Would a 30 gallon be OK? 36" long 16" tall 12"wide. Setup 1/3 land and 2/3 water. Here is a quick sketch, i took a picture of it, this is what the tank would look like. This would be their breeding tank and rest of the year tank. Does this design work?
