Cherry Shrimp temp vs Axolotl temp

I'm trying to find a nice middle between the temps my cherry shrimp should be kept at to breed, and the temp my axolotl can be kept at without getting stressed.

From what I understand, cherry shrimp will be quite a bit slower breeding at lower temperatures. I have some in a separate tank with feeder guppies kept at ~70F and they seem to be happy (I haven't had them long enough to remark on their breeding though).

The axies are at ~69F, so you could keep them together, however your cherry shrimp will breed more at temperatures closer to 75F.

Yeah alot of what I've read alot of people keep them at 24-25C for optimum breeding my tanks set to 20C atm (so 69F to you) I haven't got my axie yet just trying to set things up in prep (been cycling my tank now for over a month) can I go any higher or is this going to upset my axie?
Some of my shrimp I can see have already got eggs inside them just hope they breed ok at lower temps, theyre fun to look at

You could go higher, but I honestly wouldn't. Even if you brought it up to 72F, axolotls are more susceptible to diseases and stress, so I would suggest leaving it as is, or breed them in a separate tank They still will breed at the lower temps, but not as fast. You may also find your axies eat the red cherry shrimp faster than they can breed! Red cherry shrimp eggs usually take a month to hatch.

Thanks may move some over to a separate tank then my others are kept around 26C

"The tank is set to 20C" does that mean you have a heater in it? Your axolotl will be much happier with no heater at all & keeping that water temp as cool as possible - heaters can malfunction & given they don't need it, I'd leave it out.

Forget about breeding shrimp in the same tank & pop them in a shrimp tank with heater then transfer a few to the axie tank regardless of the temp & see how they go in the cooler tank. I breed guppies & add a few fry to the axolotl tank - some get eaten & some grow for a while & then get eaten they survive well in the cool axolotl tank if put in as a very young fish.
