It's so cute!!! I can't wait to get mine. I've been researching like crazy and my tank is almost complete. Have fun with your new family member!

Thanks! Wish you luck on yours. Don't forget to properly cycle your tank! (My mistake)

Very cute, love the dark eyes. What have you got in the bottom of the tank. Is it gravel?

Yea it is fine gravel. So far he has been ok with it:D

Hi ya, I really wouldn't risk it. I've seen so many issues with fine gravel getting swallowed by accident and causing all sorts of problems internally.

Awww, how cute!!! Best wishes with your new lovey.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
