On Saturday evening my beautiful Chilli suffered some sort of stroke and today peacefully slipped away. I had had him for over 11 years and he wasn't a baby when I got him so I think he would be nearer 12 years old. I first set eyes on him in my local garden centre, a week later when I went back he was still there looking so sad so I bought him and took him home. I didn't know the first thing about axolotl's and made a few mistakes along the way but we made it and he has had a long and happy life. His huge smile and his dance of joy when he saw me just melted my heart, I can't believe I am never going to see that smile again.
I haven't posted much here over the years but your help was invaluable in the beginning and I just wanted to say thank you for all the support and advice you have given.
