Recently I bought pygmy AFC's and I decided to move them to a smaller enclosure... Now I want to move some metamorphosing tadpoles (Psuedacris regilla) to the tank that originally had the AFC's. I plan on releasing these specimens once they become frogs to their home pond... whether my AFC's had any fungus on them or disease is completely unknown, and so I went overboard with trying to eradicate anything I thought might be in there... First I drained the original water and put in water heated to 95 F and put a heater in there for a day so it stayed above 90 F, then I added anti-parasitic called "Maracide"... Then I drained that water and dried the tank completely and let it sit for 3 days (the chytrid fungus survives for 3 days in its zoospore stage)... I still don't feel very safe about the transfer, but the current holding container is not escapee-proof. Could someone help me make this decision... I am leaning towards leaving the tadpoles in their original container and keeping a very watchful eye on them because I really do not want to introduce something to the native amphibian population.

another detail: I had a badis badis (chameleon fish) in with the ACF's before moving them all to a smaller tank

If you heated the tank to 95F and let everything dry, you are pretty safe in terms of disease transfer. The more likely route of transfer would be water splashing, or the use of the same net/siphon/finger between enclosures.

Alright thank you. I wash my nets and fingers before and after messing with tanks, so that shouldnt be a problem.
