Hi,
my Plethodon cinereus are very active and feed on crickets as usual. They are in the cellar for hibernation, the temperature is 5,2°C. Is that usual?
Olaf

Yep. They do not "hibernate". There are records in the literature of cinereus incubating eggs in the winter.

A bit off topic but...we were having some fairly warm weather up until that snowstorm last weekend and and just a few nights before found the biggest Cinereus I've ever seen in my driveway trying to tackle a huge worm. It was probably close 7 inches TL and very fat.
