I am a new axolotl mom to three new babies! I know that one of them is most likely going to be a dark wild type, while the other is albino. I just have a question on what you guys think the color of the third will be because it is not looking like my darker one. I will attach a few pictures

I think that will end up being a wild type. I have had some that look that that get darker as they get older until they are wild types.

Some of mine kept that really cool speckling! One of those is my avatar image.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
