I feed my axolotls an earthworm everyone day and usually they share one. This time both ate one each for the first time. These things are long so I cut them up. Today Saskia was in her cave and didn't want to eat. She kept turning away from her food. I noticed she had poop hanging out and there is a lump where I assume the poop is still inside the anus. Her last feeding was two days ago. It's been two hours that I became aware of the situation and she still hasn't passed anything. Is now the time to fridge her? I never had to do this before. Sage on the other hand is fine and already did his business and he's the smaller of the two! Sage is 5.5 inches and Saskia is 6 inches.

Update: Saskia's hind legs are floating a tiny bit now and she seems a little hunched. The same amount of poo is still hanging there. It looks painful! She hasn't really moved from her spot and isn't interested in my fingers. You know something is wrong when an axolotl doesn't want to eat your fingers!

How long has she been stuck like that?

You could fridge but you don't want to be changing her temperature drastically if it's something she can pass.

She finally passed it. There was a huge poopie mess when I woke up. She's a little sore but that is understandable!
