hope you enjoy them - might pop back with some honduras, belize, guatemala and panama pics some time

These Pictures are absolutely spectacular i am very pleased u posted these pics :D .. mite just have to fly there soon :D

cheers mate, it is an enchanting place. the problem is tourists dont see the most enchanting bits. the forest that is utterly untouched, where the only clue of human interferance is a rope bridge, or a basic field station and nothing else is the most amazing part!

Really like the bothrops pics. I spent a few weeks in Honduras this summer and will be returning next summer for two months to do herpetological surveys so its great to see a lot of similar species posted. Where did you do work in Honduras? Was this through a conservation group or was it an individual effort?

Amazing photoset Alex, thanks for sharing. Costa rica is one of my dream places to explore once.

i have alot more photos of B. asper from belize, spent alot of time with them.

regarding honduras, it was in a lovely area of rainforest near Nueva arcadia. i have a friend there currently conducting research on Micrurus sp. in that area, so i will go out to see him when i am next in the area ( i will be in belize for around 13 months starting august)

i think i have a couple more photo's around - will take a look when im back on my pic - anyway hope the people looking are enjoying them!

Great Pics!
I'm heading down in March to do some research near Braulio Carrillo.
Were you doing any particular research or just herpin?

specific research was on hylid tree frog populations so i have a number of photo's of hylids. but in all honesty my greater passion lies with reptiles so i spent alot of my time looking for them!
