Crest of Triturus marmoratus ? why now?

Hi,friends!
Today, i found one of my Triturus marmoratus was a little strange.
Is this crest?
I estimate my Triturus marmoratus is one and half years old.
Why it has crest in this season?
Is my enviroment too wet?

It´s a male. The tiny crest is a sign of sexual maturation, that´s all. It will develop when the time is right.

Will the crest disappear? such as in anestrous season

Not completely. Out of breeding condition it will always look like that.
