crickets for a fire salamander?

are crickets any good for fire salamanders? not thinking of using them as an exclusive food, currently use earthworms, woodlice and small slugs.

Crickets can be good or bad, depending on how they are used. If the crickets are fed something nutritious and are dusted with calcium-vitamin powder and eaten within a few minutes of dusting, they are good.

Don't leave a significant number of uneaten crickets running around the tank. They quickly lose their calcium powder, and can even "nibble" on the sals, thus becoming a pest rather than a food.

Don't give them crickets that are too large (even marginally so).
