Curled tail

Alright so as recommended i’m tubbing my axolotl while my tank cycles, i noticed that when I moved him to a new tub his tail curled... is he sick from the new water? stressed?

Also for the lid, i poked 16 holes... is that enough for overnight...? i’m nervous he’ll jump while i’m sleeping.
