I've recently hatched some axolotl eggs, and was feeding them on brine shrimp
I ended up not have enough to supply to all of the babies
The LFS round here dont really stock live food, but after hours on the phone i found a place that sells daphnia, and went and brought some :D, ive only ever used frozen before so i didn't really know what to expect.
Anyway i purchased 5 small bags, and they came in pink water, is this normal?
Also how long will they live for in the container i've placed them in, is there any way to make them last longer, ive heard of culture kits, but is there a cheap alternative that i could do in this plastic food storage tub?
Are they a better food source than my previous BBS because they can live in the axolotls water?
Somebody help please :D

Daphnia are excellent. I prefer them to BBS. You should be able to keep them alive in a plastic tub with gentle aeration. You can feed them a tiny bit of suspended yeast-water.
