I am considering starting a colony of Daphnia to use for my Axolotl babies. There's just a couple questions and concerns.
- What species would be most appropriate for newly hatched Axolotl babies, and be fairly hardy? (Cold-tolerant species would be perfect.)
- I would only use my colony of Daphnia around the winter-fall times, when Axolotls lay eggs. Is it worth it to culture and maintain daphnia colonies for the rest of the year?

Yes, the daphnia is perfect! it withstands different temperatures, is tall and low, and then from our amphibious friends they are very pleasant. I have been raising daphnia for different years, and I am well me.
