I don’t know if he’s dead or what, but My young axlotol stopped eating for about a week and I go to give him a new bowl of food and he looks like this but he isn’t floating… so?

i’d touch him or wiggle some food in front of his face, from the state of his gills and the thinness of his body i’d say he starved to death.

As suggested, try to gently touch him - or scoop him up in a net. Otherwise, just wait a bit longer; dead animals begin to decompose fairly rapidly and will quickly lose their typical color and structure.

his gills also look extremely curled, if he is still alive, it’s barely so.

@Albi_the_axolotlt have you made a thread on the forums about your axolotl having this problem?

@Albi_the_axolotlt I would definitely make a thread about this, but before you panic try putting you axolotl in a tub where the water only goes about an inch above it, and then cool the water down SLOWLY, like a couple ice cubes at a time, to about 50 Deg F. sometimes this helps them pass gas, or even have a bowel movement. Just make sure the Temps from your current enclosure and the tub are within 4 degrees of each other and not higher than 65 Deg F. so you dont Temp shock your baby.

well I don't know how to make a thread and I am very thankful for your help but the real reason I am worried about is that it goes away and comes back constantly like its gets better today then tomorrow morning she is at the top of the tank floating on her side all bubbled up? I do put her in a container with just enough water to cover her back and it helped but it gets annoying and scary when it's consantly happening and I am worried I am doing something horrible wrong.

Oh no poor Archie, I have a suggestion so this usually happens when axolotls are freaked by something like light or noise. But if anything I would need to see pictures. But try to keep the light down water temp 16-20 C is OK and also create as little stress as possible if it doesn't get better I would really recommend a vet trip or advice from a specialist. This can be very serious or no so serious. keep us updated and if you can pics would help. Get better Archie!:giggle:
