Please, my axolotl has fungus on one of her right gills, and it looks like the gill has deteriorated away. I know that once shes healthy it'll regenerate, but this is my first time dealing with this. I have to go somewhere soon, but when i get back in about an hour i plan on doing a full scale cleaning of the tank, making sure the temp is within the recommended temperatures, and i think I'm going to do a salt bath but I'm unsure of that. please please if anyone can give me some advice on what to do, direct me to a guide on helping her or anything I would really really appreciate it. I'm so worried about my baby and i want to do all i can to help her :( thank you so much in advance. I've attached a picture of what her gill looks like. I noticed the fungus yesterday before i went to bed and planned on cleaning the tank today, but i didnt realize it was this bad and i feel awful

If you look at the "sticky" posts at the top of this section of the forum, you will find information on fungus (columnaris), salt baths, and fridging. You can also use the search box; type in the word "fungus" and it will pull up threads with that in them. There's lots of info for you to read. PLEASE don't tear the tank down to nothing and start over unless she's not going to be in it. The last thing a sick axie needs is to go through the extreme water fluctuations of a cycling tank.

Thank you, I don't know much about these forums and I was just in such a panic that I didn't think to look, but I'll check those out now. Thank you so much for your advice I really appreciate it!!
