Diffrence between an axolotl and waterdog

Can anybody tell me the diffrence between an axolotl and a waterdog, if there is a diffrence, or is it one of the same.

"Waterdog" usually refers to a Tiger Salamander larvae. The larvae will eventually mature and become a terrestrial animal. Axolotls, on the other hand, remain in their larval stage all of their lives and RARELY develop into Mexican Mole Salamanders.

Right, they are two different species. As with all common names, sometimes people use the two terms for the opposite thing, so there is always some confusion. See:
