I have a white leucistic axolotl, I have had him since June, and he is fully grown. Lately I have noticed that he is becoming redder, I thought this may be because he has only been eating axolotl pellets lately, though in the last few days he has not been eating anything. Just tonight I fed him some bloodworms, which he ate and then he looked even redder! Also he has been floating a bit, and when I push him down, he just floats back up, I always though he looked a bit skinny, but when I asked about this in the past I was told he was ok. Is he sick, should he look this red?

What is your tank temp and have you checked your water parameters? He could be stressed and/or they tend to become pinker/redder than usual as tank temp warms up.
