you'll have to check my other post in the crickets section to see if where i placed the exit works. you need a piece of screen. not to small or too large. a rock(not a shiny one or expensive one. just somethin to weigh it down. keep in mind these don't keep that many crickets inside, unless you chisel to make it more open) a small pipe segment(2-3 inches. your finger should fit through) a rubber band, something to mix plaster in, and plaster. it's simple if you just pull the edges up, put the pipe in the middle of the edges, and rubber band all of that so it stays. you should have a ball at the end with the rubber banded pipe and edges are facing up. next mix some plaster. enough to dip the ball part in, not the top. use the top as a handle and dip the ball in the plaster many times. then, shake it in the plaster mixing tub to get all of the excess plaster out of the inside of the ball. set it down on a paper plate on the side you want to be bottom. pour more plaster over the ball, to give it that rock effect. if some drips of and covers the plate, that doesn't matter. you cannot get the plaster out of the inside until you chisel it out at the end. now let it dry for a while(3 min) come back and if parts of the screen show, you have to put more plaster over em. if there is huge holes, you can put more plaster on them. where ever the pipe is now is where it'll stay. holes can be filled in with rocks or pebbles, as long as the crickets can't get out through them. when finished, you can put anything you want on it. you have to make a plug for the entrance, also. it is a good idea to mix allittle playground sand in with the plaster. it looks great. make sure you DO NOT submerge it in water, or put anything too damp on it, or it could irritate the amphibs skin. this might not be clear, but you should get the idea. hopefully i'll start seein some setup pics with these in them. if more room is needed in the rock, chisel out excess plaster through the hole.
