Do you acclimate newts to aquarium?

Do you acclimate your newts to a new tank? When I first got mine I just set them on a floating piece of cork bark and let them go in when they were ready. But for future reference should I drip acclimate or anything?

The way you did it is the correct way. They are not shrimp. They can jump in the water when they want.
