So my axolotl usually goes to the bathroom every other day, but today he had 3 giant poops and 1 small one before 2pm. The first one was a nice log but the rest were all dusty, but there was alot until the last one where it was only a little. I've had him for about a month now. And he's about 6 inches. I feed him twice a day. About 3 pellets in the morning and half a earthworm around 5 pm. Should I be worried?

Oh no he just went for a 5th time now. I'm really starting to get worried please help.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
