I have an axoloti that has 3 fluffy white cotton like bits on his back since yesterday, I have established this is fungus, as he is looking a little bit white/grey patchy (he is a black mottled colour normally), I was thinking of doing the fridge option for 3 or so days until they are gone, alternating with a salt bath twice daily, then once gone for a following 2 days. I am new to axoloti and he came from someone else so he is about 5 years old so quite large. Could someone please confirm 1) If the container in the fridge DOES NOT need air holes and the lid itself is fully secured on, then wrapped in a tea towel? 2) if he lives in the fridge for the full 4 or 5 days? I don't want to do something wrong and stress him out! All advise welcome. P.s I have looked at the fridge and salt bath instructions from other members and there doesn't seem to be air holes, could someone please confirm this, I want to help my axoloti Mr Bond the best way possible.many thanks in advance.
