Does my newt have Bs?

I was herping and I caught a palmate newt.
At closer inspection I realised that a bit of his nose (one nostril to be exact) was pink.
I though it was an injury frog rubbing against something or and animal biting it of.
I then remembered here in Belgium we have the desiese Bs it's a long name and I can't remember it.
I took him home to be on the safe side.
He is in his own tank now.
How can I tell if it's an injury or the desiese?

Do you mean Vs, as in Viral stomatitis? That's a name for condition(s)? that can affect mouths and nares, but I've only ever seen it referred to in reptiles. The newt would be more likely to be injured than suffering from a disease I would say.
