I have had toothless for about a year, so I would assume hes about 1year and 2 months old? His tank temp is at 65degrees f, his ammonia level is 0, ph is a 7.

His tail looks like it is shredding and almost fluffy, sometimes there are small red spots on it as well... is this tail fungus? how can i help him?

He still eats and is active, but he spends more time floating around now then he used to (he used to prefer his hide)...

I will attach pictures.

(PS: I always call tooth a him because i have no idea how to tell...can someone help with that?)

As said on chat, I think he'll be fine :) as long as it doesn't progress.
For me to tell the sex you'd have to do a pic of his underside, showing the vent (space in between the back legs)

here are the pictures you requested plus a tail photo and tank photo for the others in chat

The 2nd pic was good. I'd say you're correct, he's a male.
