Just wondering, we are in the the breeding season for my 3 captive bred palmate newts, now they all go in the water. i have noticed the female and one male( the other is a male) is out on land a lot, Mainly together. Male Not showing breeding colours. While the male in the water is showing breeding colours. wondering if they May show (water/pond dominance) I.e, one individual may exclude others from the water.
