I was channel surfing the other night and stopped on the National Geographic Wild network. I generally enjoy the shows on this network however the one that I was watching at the time was disappointing. I cannot remember the name of it however in one obviously staged segment a Taricha (not sure which species) was swallowed by a bullfrog. A few seconds later the frog died and the newt crawled unharmed out of it's mouth. My question is has this behavior actually been documented in the field?
