End of my first week owning them :)

Looking good! Is it just the angle or is the darker one bigger?

Yes, one of them is considerably larger than the other. They are both eating well, so I think one is just going to be a little bigger.

they sure are pretty looking axies :) nice!

Cute axies! Big gills are always impressive. Have fun with your new pets!

hi
they are very cute....can i offer a suggestion....it might pay to feed them at seperate ends of the tank, one of your axies may end up losing a limb or something having them eat together.....i have cleaned out a peanut butter jar(it is plastic) and i fed abby in that, that way when he shakes his head the food doesnt go all over the tank and i just have to clean out the jar and a few bits that have gotten out after feed time...it makes it a lot easier.....

Lea- great suggestion about feeding them at opposite ends of the tank.

Unfortunately these little guys grow at different rates, and iplaythebassoon ended up with my last 2 available axies which included the "runt" of the litter. He is a super cute axie, but he just seems to grow at a slower rate than the other guys.

It's certainly not because he isn't getting enough food, because he has quite the appetite and seems to always be interested in eating bloodworms.

No, you're right, they do grow at different rates, even siblings. Heck, there are 6 kids in my family and we all grew differently, too.

Gonna try the jar thing this weekend, Lea. That sounds like a great idea. Thank you all for the kind replies :)
