I found about six eggs in the terrarium of Eurycea guttolineata. Two are hanging above the water, four were in the water. I don´t know if the one´s that are in the water are fallen or not. Should I remove the eggs out of the water? I will put pictures in the photo gallery.

You will probably get more eggs tomorrow. Look at the females belly. See if there are any more eggs inside of her.

Both of my female Eurycea cirrigera (Southern Two-Lined Salamanders are full of eggs. They have around fifteen eggs each.

Females of some Eurycea protect the eggs. Is she gaurding them? They probably won't eat the eggs. Make sure the eggs stay moist.

Congrats.

See the yellow yolks in mine. An old pic. Mine will lay any time now.

You'll Have to copy and paste in the address bar. Uploading attachments doesn't work on my computer. Hopefully it works.

Do you you think I should remove the eggs out of the water and put the eggs to a moist place on land?

I looked in Petranka, but there is not much information. 'Egg clutches have only rarely been collected'. But eggs are found in or near streams or seepages. So, I will let the eggs stay where they are.

The larvae are aquatic. Look where the ones where laid out of water, it looks like they will drop right into it. I'd remove them and put them in a separate container of water so you can manage and monitor them better.

How long have you had the adults?

In the wild the adults will lay eggs under rocks and moss next to or in streams. You may have more eggs hiding under the moss. Larvae came be tamed pretty easily. I use enforcers to pick up about three tubifex worms and I place them in front of the larva or salamander and they will strike viciously at the worms and take them in quickly. *It's fun to watch*

Should eat just like your adult Three Lineds are doing now.

Good luck raising the larvae.

I have the adults for two years now. For a few months now with a pump.

All eggs are gone

Fungus I think.

How many were laid? She should have laid over 50 eggs. What about the ones in the jar.

I found only a couple of eggs, so I hope that somewhere in the terrarium are more good eggs. I will see that the next months...

The ones in the jar I put back in the terrarium.
