HELP big lump on the side of Axolotl

Hi everyone, my albino axolotl I believe is onlyabout 2 inches. It has a big lump on the left side of its body, I would say in the middle. I have no substrate, and I feed frozen bloodworms> HELP!!!

Do you have a photo? Are there any other axies or fish with your Axolotl?

HI, everyone, the other day one of my axolotls ad a lump on its side and now it is gone. For the past couple of days, I have noticed them trying to stay at the bottom, but they are floating back up> I have two young axolotls, both in the same tank, but separated by a fish divider. help!!!

if u have a filter, try turning it off. if that doesn't work, feed him sinking food instead of floating food. hope it helped!

How young is young? Sounds like they swallowed air. Try feeding them more and feed them at the bottom of the tank and not the top.

Some people have varying opinions but i would rather feed them and push the air out then not feed them and let it come out the same way it went in. I see it more common in younger axolotls then older ones. They are still learning how to use their lungs :p mine will gulp air just so they canfloat but know how to exhale to sink back down, and very rarely do they inhale air in their stomach. I suspect they are swallowing air if they are you g. Its nothing to panic about

I've merged your two posts together, so the information stays together. Saves you having to answer the same questions again.

Could you add a photo so we can see what is going on ?
