Hi, this is my first post and I am not entirely sure it is in the right place I am afraid! One of my axolotls has developed an extra leg and toes which I know can be 'normal' but it's location is becoming a concern. It is growing out of the back of the elbow of one of her front legs, more or less paralell with the original umm....forearm (so it points straight up a lot of the time). It is getting big enough now that it is interfering with her walking and every time she does walk, the extra leg kind of digs in around where her gills are (or were, she is quite old and tends to go to the surface for her air now). She seems to be fine otherwise, but I was wondering if she might run into any problems with damaging what is left of her gills? Is there anything I could do about it? I will try to get some pics up.

i would just leave it, she will adjust and learn how to walk with it. i would love to see some pics!:>
