Hey,

(DISCLAIMER:This is my first post on this forum and I'm excited to learn more about axolotls)

I just bought 2 juvenile axolotls, one is a leucistic and the other is a melanoid. I have them in a 10 gallon tank with a divider in the middle currently. This is only temporary as I'm purchasing a 20 gallon tomorrow :) I'm currently feeding them frozen bloodworms with a turkey baster and placing them into their food dish. Although, this leads to a huge mess because my one axie lays in his food bowl all the time.

I was wondering if there's an easier way of feeding juvenile axolotls (approx 3" in length) ? Should I take them out of their tank, put them in a smaller container and feed them the blood worms that way?? PLEASE HELP!

You could always use the 10 gallon tank as a feeding tank since you're getting a 20 gallon tomorrow :) Axolotls are messy little ones, so until they're big enough for other food, they're gonna be redecorating with their lunch! You can use the turkey baster to pick up the excess food as well.

Thanks for the advice! I think that's what I'm going to do, I just wish I knew where to buy earthworms for my axies.
