I've got a little wild named pepper who I got a couple days ago and so far, feeding has been a struggle and a half... so far I only have frozen bloodworms and krill shrimp (the cubes) (I've got better food coming via amazon) I've been alternating them to keep her diet varied. she gets really spooked if I put anything near her so giving them to her like that is a no so far, she will eat them If I put her in a tub with the food but if I set the food in her tank she just doesn't know its there :/ I don't exactly want to stress her out by constantly nabbing her and putting her in a tub every day... any suggestions?

Ok, maybe you could feed pepper
Live daphnia and baby brine shrimp. Also maybe try to use tongs to feed her. And maybe put the food on the bottom, cuz i heard axolotls have great sense of smell

put the food in the tank over night he/she will soon find it, because of her size/age live food would be more stimulating, live bloodworm/live brine shrimp/cherry shrimp/small fish fry etc..
axolotls mostly feed at night and have poor eyesight, but they do have a good sense of smell and can even detect the electrical discharge from prey.

Axolotls are nocturnal so feeding them at night like wolfen said is highly recommended. Little ones find live food more stimulating though it's by no means necessary. Some are just naturally skiddish in their personality so using tweezers might help. Otherwise, it might warm up to handfeeding some day. But handfeeding takes patience as trust is established over time. Try to have a consistent feeding spot for them.
