I have two questions I have been wondering about:
1. How many of those omega-one (or any small) sinking salmon pellets does an axolotl eat a day? Just one? they seem small..

2. I use seachem prime to dechlorinate my water supply but I have heard that it interferes with my api test kit, which leaves me with two options:
1. Buy a seachem test kit...I really am not looking forward to spending about $20 on a Seachem test kit.
2. Find an alternative to prime that dechlorinates my tap water.
My whole view on this is just that it honestly sounds like a scam where seachem wants you to just buy their test kits.

***other helpful info*** My tank is cycled and the water parameters are normally:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate- <30ppm
pH- around 8, no higher than 8 though.
*Also the tank water is SO CLEAR and the gross web-like algae is gone*

So I guess all I'm really asking is... Should I be so worried about ammonia and ammonium if my water parameters are still doing good? I don't like prime messing up my results. :lame:

What do you guys do? :)

I have used prime for years and never had API reading issues. And that's on a 90 gallon tank plus many more. I am a devoted prime user! Lol.

Thanks Sydney! Do you test the water before your weekly 20% pwc or right after you put the new water in? Thanks for your solid advice.

Usually before to see what's up. I seriously have 5 bottles of prime all over the house.
