I was just wondering what time of day people feed their animals...

I usually feed mine first thing in the morning, despite the fact that most of them are nocturnal or crepuscular.

Has anyone found that poor feeders will feed better at particular times of day?

With mine I feed them at different times of the day.
All aquatic newts are fed in the morning, while terrestrial newts along with fire salamanders are fed at night.
If I put food in for the fires in the morning they will usualy stay hidden, but if I add the food items as it is getting dark the sals with come out into the open to feed.

Interesting.

Most of mine are aquatic, and eat OK whenever I feed them.

Terrestrial ones seem to eat in the day if they're hand-fed, but I guess that it would be best to feed them at night if the food items are likely to move out of reach (by burrowing or climbing up the walls) before they come to feed.
