Feeding w/ Brine Shrimp

Sorry for the deluge of questions, here...

The brine shrimp I have are tiny. I put some in my baby (less than 2cm) axolotl's bowl, and I'm assuming he ate some because he seemed to have a brine-shrimp-colored area on his stomach later, but I"m not totally sure. Is there anything I need to to do to make sure he'll find the shrimp and eat them? They're so small compared to the amount of water in the bowl, and I don't think I actually saw him lunge at them.

I have about probably 3 cups of water in the bowl (actually a very-well-rinsed out pickle jar, for now).

He'll find them fine Miriam, you can also use daphnia as a food source

Miriam - Seeing the "orange" stomach means it is eating brine shrimp.

Sometimes they hunt by not hunting...they just wait for brine shrimp just swim within striking distance

Just got my first two babies, only about 2/3cm. Have brought live daphnia and frozen bloodworm. How much of this should i put in the tank for the two of them?

hmmm id chuck in a fair amount of daphnia (because they dont spoil the water and die) and give them bloodworms like once a day, or however often you want to feed them. bloodworms are super messy and are just plain annoying haha
