Filter Troubles

Hi again.

Well, I'm buying three fire belly newts next sunday, and I heard that if you have a filter with a tube, the newts can climb up it and escape.

I already have a tubed side filter, and can't affoard a tubless one, so how can I prevent them getting up the tube?

Hey ya hun, you might more knowledgeable replies if you put this on the newt board rather than the axolotl boards.

I've heard of your problem but I'll be darned if I can remember the solution.
