Question: fire bellie newts looking abit dry?

ive recently noticed that my two fire belly newts are looking very dry and dont seem to go in the water as much

i have had them since august last year and they have allways been very healthy looking and wet and allways in the water, but just recently ive noticed them acting different.

any ideas?

A water quailty issue comes to mind. Might aswell check it just in case.

Do they have any tankmates? Are they plump and eating well?

i have cleaned their tank out
and yes, there is two of them and they are eating very well
i came down this morning and they were in the water swimming around and looking much better
i think it was water quality.
