Hi I just purchased two newts a Chinese firebelly and a blue tail. The blue tail is comfortably living in the water while in another tank my chinese firebelly won't go near the water I'm looming for any tips or ways to get him into the water thanks

There are a couple of possibilities depending on the conditions of the tank, but also the animals. In my experience animals less than two years old can temporally return to the terrestrial phase after being rehomed, but maybe the animals still were terrestrial when you bought them.

If the animals are older and the water conditions are good, than I've found that the current/flow is one of the main reasons for C.orientalis to avoid the water. It shouldn't be too strong. So if you've got a current, try to make it less strong if you've checked the water itself first.
