Hi all. Dealing with my first bought of fungus ever and looking for some advice. Found axie tonight with white fluff on gills. Moved her to a clean hospital tub with an Indian almond leaf. In the process of moving her, most if not all of the fluff appears to have come off. Here are my next questions:
-What should I do in the way of treatment besides Indian almond leaves and clean water? I have methylene blue I used to treat her for ammonia poisoning last year but I know that’s a heavily debated medication so I tried to play it safe for now with only Indian almond leaves by way of treatment in her hospital tank. Are there any other medications/treatments I should use?
-How do I clean/decontaminate the tank? I did a water change after removing her but I’m pretty sure I see some fungus/white fluff on her java moss. Should I toss her plants and do more water changes? She also has sand, an aerator, a sponge filter and a submersible filter. Should I replace, clean, or remove any of these?
-When can I return her to the tank?
She seems okay in her hospital bin. Bright pink gills, been eating fine recently. No floating/bloating recently either.
Thanks for any and all advice
