Hey all,

I have a clutch of ~6 week old larvae. They've all mostly either grown in their back legs or have started developing nubs. I noticed the other day that one of my wild types seems to be growing an extra leg on one side of its body! Has anyone ever seen this? Should I be concerned if it's otherwise eating/pooping/outwardly healthy and active?

because of the amount of eggs an axolotl produces it isn't unusual for there to be some with deformity's/mutations, this type of mutation wouldn't be advantages and would normally have not survived in the wild, whether or not it survives to adult hood in captivity remains to be seen.
